Salisbury Clinic, Wessex Fertility at Medcentres Plus
Satellite clinic to Wessex Fertility.
Who can use the Salisbury satellite?
The Salisbury satellite service is available to self-funding patients and NHS funded patients who find the Salisbury clinic more convenient to access than Southampton.
Apart from surrogacy patients, you have the same treatment options available as at the Southampton clinic and receive the same first class care.
Which appointments can I have at the satellite?
The following appointments can take place at the satellite:
• Doctor consultation
• Scan appointments
• Consenting appointment
• Pregnancy scans
• Follow-up medical consultation
All patients will have to attend Southampton for their sperm analysis, egg collection and embryo transfer appointments (or insemination if undergoing IUI). Some patients may also require additional procedures (e.g. cyst aspiration, sperm freeze, surgical sperm retrieval) which can only be done at the main clinic in Southampton.
How will using the satellite affect my treatment?
The aim of the satellite service is to make treatment more convenient for you. Our Salisbury satellite is run by Wessex Fertility consultants and supported by a Wessex Fertility nurse. All team members work closely with Southampton, ensuring good communication and an excellent standard of compassionate care. Appointments are conducted in line with Southampton’s protocols and all scan and blood test results are sent to the main clinic so the decisions made about your treatment our chances of success are the same whether you choose to have your appointments in Salisbury or Southampton.
Why choose us
We know that travelling to appointments can be time consuming. The aim of the satellite services is to make treatment more convenient for you by offering the same exceptional care, closer to home.
